It is not difficult to replace the stock front forks by ones from a Honda CBR600F1 because the width is the same. Just take the old ones out and slide in the new ones.

You'll notice the left brake caliper is not aligned properly anymore. This can be solved by placing rings beween the rim and the rotor:

With some tooling you can use the original GS500 fender:

You'll probably need to buy longer brakelines. It depends on the width and height of your steer. I needed lines of +/-90cm and +/-100mm
