HelmetLock

Most GS500 owners don't even know that their bike has a pair of helmet locks which can be useful to safely store their helmet with their bike for short periods of time. Since the helmet may still be stolen by cutting the strap, it is inadvisable to use the helmet lock in risky areas and for extended periods of time.

To access the helmet lock the user must simply remove the seat and place the D Ring of the helmet strap over the hook, then reattach the seat. In the picture below, the helmet lock rings are on the top right and top left.

This Picture is of my 2004 Gs500F, I'm pretty sure the location is the same on almost all of the models though.
