ThrottlePositionSensorTPSAdjustment
Here is the procedure, described by tommymc, GS Twins Forum.
"At no throttle the resistance across the two outside terminals (there are three inside the TPS connector) should be 3.5 to 6.5K-ohms. At full throttle the reading across the rearmost and middle terminal should be 76% of the first reading. Small rotations of the TPS holder makes big differences in the readings. But with an ohmeter and calculator in hand it doesn't take long.
The worst thing is in finding a short screw point that will fit between the frame and the rear TPS screw. Also, a meter with short probes will help since there's not much room below the carbs to touch the right terminals. Maybe some leads with small alligator clip ends would be best."
I followed the procedure and here are some pics.
It can be done without removing the carbs, not even the tank. The sensor is on the right side of the carbs.
